Admittedly my blog posts have been irregular and sprung upon our followers out of the blue, so I do apologize for being so unprofessional. However something that has sprung to mind is a change in my perspective of some modern day relationships.

Firstly let’s approach technology. I respect that technology is always going to develop at an exponential rate and I am all for it but is talking to your partner mainly through texting or Facebook good for your relationship?

Even in our own relationship we sometimes find that the time we should be spending talking to each other is spent on our phones. A screen seems so important, we don’t want to miss out on the latest trending YouTube video, or perhaps miss the  latest episode of a series. Let me break it down for you simply, one day that person you love might not be around, unfortunate events could take place, so how would you feel? If you are in a relationship I urge you to spend time together, talk to each other, be intimate, put your phones down for an hour or two to go on a walk! You’re in a relationship to build a bond of trust, love and happiness. Work on your relationship, there’s always going to be  improvement to be made.

Something else I hate is people making fun of couples and considering them ‘cringey’. Yes there are limits I don’t particularly want to see Sam chewing Emma’s face off either  but leave them to it! People are so quick to judge other couples, perhaps due to problems in their own relationships or previous bad relationships – but why put other people down?

Recently Sofeena and I started up a YouTube channel because it’s FUN; we get to spend time together laughing at our mistakes and fooling around trying to dodge cameras and makeshift tripods to shoot our videos! Some people don’t like that, they don’t want to see a happy couple trying to have fun; two people trying to have a joint hobby to spend time with each other. The thing is I know the people who comment on our relationship will be reading this blog post right now, so if you do not like us why continue to view our content? Why continue to go to school to spend a lunch time degrading our relationship. Did your last relationship fuck you over that bad you  try to make other couples feel insecure?

One final point I want to make is about the looks of a person. I often hear people saying comments such as “ew why is he with her” or ” How the hell did she get with him.” SHUT UP, maybe she thinks HE’S the most good looking boy she’s ever met, perhaps he can make HER smile at his foolish antics every minute of the day. I know there are so many relationships that are simply not happening due to popularity or particular friendship groups. Forget what everyone else says about him/her BE you, DO what you want and date WHOEVER THE FUCK you want.

You can check out our YouTube by searching for the interracial relationship, a link has been provided on the page. Oh and just one more thing many have wondered what the point of our youtube. It is for FUN, however we hope to move to london in september so extra income would be very much appreciated. That’s why we urge you to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to our channel.

A guide for newbies on how to set up a youtube channel

I’m sure each and everyone of you has always wondered about setting up a youtube channel – which is why you’re on this page right now. The main question in many people’s minds are ‘how much money will I make if I set up a youtube?’ The reality of this is next to non unless you already have a million subscribers and millions of views which would then lead us to ask why are you reading this. Do not bother going into the youtube industry if your main focus point is money. You have to have a passion or niche you’d be interested in; to  be able to deliver content to viewers which would really highlight your passion or expertise about a particular topic.

So if you’re continuing to read this you must have an idea in your head of what kind of videos you would want to produce so let’s get started. Firstly you’ll want to gather all the equipment you have for filming your videos. Now this includes mobile phones, tripods, lighting, cameras and a setting to film your videos. For example in our first video we used the equipment below:

  1. samsung galaxy S6 for audio and filming videos at the highest resolution (Ultra HD)
  2. A makeshift tripod to position the camera as shown below:

Perhaps we should enter a competition involving stacking random room furniture!
  3. ceiling spotlights (low intensity)

We  used a plain white wall as our background, having a white clear wall as your background just makes the video seem more professional! This also means you don’t have to spend hundred of pounds/dollars setting up a studio just for a youtube video.

Okay so presumably you ideally have similar equipment or probably much better! If you don’t, just having a smartphone is already your cue to start your youtube channel. It’s always good to have content in your first video regarding the style of your videos and the content you will be delivering to your fan base. Make a short welcome video,  don’t worry it doesn’t have to look professional ours wasn’t check it out:

Secondly you want to let viewers know when you will be uploading videos for example every Sunday at 7pm. Include all your social media underneath in the subscription. OH and don’t forget to think up a really CATCHY TITLE. Having a catchy title will drive your view count up by attracting more visitors and the video will more likely to be shared. Some readers will not be reading your discription under the video so it is important to let your viewers know what they will be watching.

Okay so you’ve just published your first video and you seem to be getting a rather lot of dislikes. Stop worrying and just get working on your second video. If you have shared your video within your local community there are bound to be people that dislike you so will  be clicking the dislike button at every opportunity they get. Some people don’t like to see others being successful so their way of putting you down will be to dislike your videos. This is often the case, HOWEVER some people may actually just not like the way you delivered your content (You might have spoke to slow or just not appealed to them). So try to comprehend  why those people disliked your video and maybe change up how you produce your videos. CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTS are great for knowing what you did wrong and knowing how to improve in your next videos.

A criticism for the above video was the way Stephen said ‘Obviously I’m from a different country…’ Stephen  did not mean to be racist in any way he just thought people would recognise sofeena was from this country and he was not. However this was evidently a big mistake and we are sorry if this video offended anyone.

You might be waiting around after you’ve posted your video wondering why you’re not getting many subscribers, one important key to generating traffic is CREATIVE CHANNEL ART. You do not need photoshop or other expensive editing software to produce professional and creative  attractive headers or logos. Use websites such as PICMONKEY to create your header like ours below:header 1.png

You will often see youtubers have a logo, usually located in the bottom right of the video. How do you make a logo and how do you insert that logo on your videos? It’s actually really easy; use a free logo making website such as to produce simple but effective logos which will make your videos much harder to steal by other people! Check out our logo:

Once you’ve start receiving above 500 views or more it is time to invest in some better equipment, we will try and recommend some equipment for you at the cheapest possible price.

Lighting is one of the most effective ways of making your videos look more professional. If you watch Zoella, Emily Canham, Jake Boys or various other you tubers they all use a form of lighting. The most common form of lighting is using two softbox lights to generate a day light ambience which highlights your face this is specially important for you girls or boys hoping to do makeup tutorials. In your case it would be useful to also invest in a ring light which surrounds the camera and brings about a nice glow to your face. LIGHTING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN A CAMERA. Lighting is extremely important and will make your videos look ten times better even when filming with your iPhone or samsung! Check out this American sweets video we filmed and compare it to our first video. A link to the softbox lights we purchased have been provided at the bottom.

Your Audio quality can also be improved dramatically by using the free open source software audacity. DOWNLOAD AUDACITY and in post processing you can export your audio to the programme where you will be able to remove background noise, increase bass and many other things.

After you’ve filmed all your footage you’re going to want to get rid of all those ‘umms’ and ‘errs’ and the various other mistakes you make so we need an editing software. For mac users you are already provided with iMovie which will have all the tools available for a reasonable video, for windows users I suggest downloading windows movie maker (Don’t worry its free). However these two programmes are just not up to scratch when you want to render and produce as higher quality video. We suggest downloading….we mean buying sony vegas pro 13. Search youtube with this exact line, ‘How to get sony vegas pro 13 for free’.

CRACK…CRACK…CRACK… (you’ll understand what we mean if you download it)

Once you have your editing software you’ll be ready to edit your videos to a professional standard.

It’s now time to buy a new camera and you have no idea what to buy.

Zoe’s youtube videos she stresses only to use the Canon 700D at a price of $800, Sam’s is saying no no no you have to use a Panasonic lumix DMC-FZ72EB-K bridge camera.

You don’t know who to believe. you barely even know how to operate your smartphone camera never mind a professional one.

Unless you have a big budget do not invest in the biggest or the best, invest in a camera with these key specifications

  1. it must record in 1080p
  2. It must be suited to your style of video – if you film in the same place and don’t move about it might be better to invest in a bulkier camera build. However if your style of videos are vlogs it is better to invest in a compact slim camera that can handle some knocks if you drop it! Vloggers often like a camera with a flip-out screen in order to see themselves while recording.
  3. Consider the audio quality of the camera – many pick up a lot of white noise which makes the audio undesirable to listen to.

These are the three main aspects when deciding on a camera for youtube! I stress a camera for youtube as I know you photography lovers will be thinking “What about exposure or the ISO and video stabilisation and the lens etc” yes it is useful to know these points however if you are just starting out with youtube it’s better purchase a camera with these specifications that will be simple to use but still allow you to produce some awesome videos! We recommend the canon G7 x with a retail price of around £350, but make sure to check out eBay, you could find a refurbished or second hand camera for a great price!

A flip-up screen for great selfies!

High quality audio is also very important we will not delve into providing much information about audio since we are very new to the whole concept of microphones. We researched low and high to find that the blue yeti microphone priced at £99 from PC world was very highly recommended and is a microphone we currently use! However if you’re on a budget you can still buy a cheap  microphone that attaches to your shirt or Tee shirt and still produces great quality audio! The links are at the end of the page.

For great quality audio! It comes in black, silver and white.

One final thing: you will need a tripod for your camera if you don’t want to waste time making your own makeshift tripod. We recommend a sturdy Velbon EF-41 tripod with a maximum height of 57.5 inches which will be suitable for most videos. We purchased this product for £19.99 from PC world.

For shooting footage and a sturdy tripod!

We are still new to the whole new youtube industry but we hope people with absolutely no idea how to start a youtube now have some useful information! We assure you making youtube videos is fun and a great hobby! You could also get the chance to meet some really great people. If you would like us to write, produce a video or blog on how to monetize your videos or how to use our suggested editing software please comment below!

College or sixth form. Make the right choice. Learn who is who, learn who you are.

So you’re in your last year of High school wondering should I go to college? Perhaps you’re thinking sixth form is the best place for you? Hopefully this post will help you make a decision as both of us explain how college and sixth form lifestyles really are. Of course this cannot be a pinpoint portrayal of sixth form or college but it may provide you an insight and broaden your knowledge.

Sofeena went straight on to college after year 11 to study hairdressing whilst I on the other hand first had a failed experience of sixth form. No doubt the level of difficulty from GCSE to A level is a big gap many of you will fail to jump. My original A levels included Physics, Maths, French and Design and technology. I studied design and technology as a link course in another sixth form. I will firmly reiterate it again and again to never do a link course. The amount of pressure forced upon you to complete  work at home with no guidance  is insurmountable.  However the second sixth form I attended was also a place that did not meet my requirements which just sunk me into a deeper hole regarding my work ethic.

Sixth form I found consisted of a strict regime. It was necessary to complete large amounts of homework along with multiple tests which strictly disagreed with my independent lifestyle. The only people I found to be successful and productive in sixth form are people who were very work orientated possibly from being brought up from a family with a more profound academic background or career. Free lessons were not free lessons but ‘supervised lessons’ completely overthrowing the point of a free lesson. I felt I was pressured into doing school work at every moment which in fact became a hindrance prohibiting me the time to accomplish other activities such as playing the piano and attending the local gym. I do not perform well under stress or pressure on top of overflows of homework and revision. Needless to say ‘I got an A grade’ was no longer part of my vocabulary or a B grade for that matter. However I managed to pass all my A levels except physics that year but might I add with disappointing grades.

That following September I joined college, and what a different place it was. Free lessons became free lessons, the amount of homework given was manageable and my subject choices were even enjoyable for the most part. What will strike you in college is the different types of people, range of ethnicity, wacky hairstyles, Athletes, BTEC students etc. Everybody is recognizable after a year you seem to automatically guess what kind of group a person belongs to. Let me give you some examples:

  1. The BTEC hair and beauty girl: most likely to be wearing a uniform, a thick face of makeup and hair tied back up. This type of girl will look down at anybody with uneven or bushy eyebrows and strongly disagrees with nails that are not manicured. This species tends not to associate themselves with the hairdressing group. They can always be seen walking in a group of four or more. They are regarded as students on the easiest course in college. (If you’re reading this and you’re a BTEC hair and beauty don’t worry I commend you, please file my nails…)
  2. Hairdressing student – most likely to be wearing a uniform and complaining about bleach they just accidentally spilled on their hands. They also do not associate themselves with the hair and beauty course students and regard themselves cleverer for undertaking a harder course in comparison to hair and beauty. One can smell this student from the other side of  the corridor due to the amount of hairspray in their hair.
  3. BTEC sport student – triple striped Adidas sweatpants, Huaraches,  permed hair, and a large duffel bag. Probably regarded as the most popular students of the college however most lack common sense…. perhaps even a brain. Continue to attract almost every girl and are attracted to almost every drug.
  4. Asian student – Always found in a library arguing over some small matter. Usually the loudest people found in college but also the most friendly and polite. Consume a lot more food than the average person throughout the day and insist on stealing bits of food off your plate. Usually the shortest group of people of people found in a college.
  5. Construction student – usually found outside smoking. rarely seen but often in a similar group of friends to BTEC sports students. Often seen flexing their arms in the canteen.
  6. Stoners – Smoke weed, eat weed,  wear weed, Be weed. Commonly found strumming a guitar they have no idea how to play.
  7. Musicians – Music is life. Always found as a group performing music or talking about music. Commonly carrying guitars.
  8. Fashion gurus – Dressed up. Wearing clothes way to expensive and flashy to be worn to college. Only wear MAC makeup. Could be nice people if they didn’t try to act like a celebrity
  9. Culinary students – Not much to say. Usually seen walking around college in this outfit

Please don’t hate me for being judgmental I am just providing an idea of the types of people one can find at college. Obviously not everyone will fit these categories but I assure you there will be someone that you know that relates to that stereotypical character. I’ve probably missed a few stereotypes out….

To conclude everything: If you are an independent person who likes to construct their own timetable, working methods and wants time to themselves I’d highly recommend college. If you are someone that is not so independent and needs structure to their week and feels they can handle a high work load choose sixth form.

Do not treat college as somewhere where dumber students go as I assure you some of the smartest people I have met are at college. I am still going to achieve 3 A levels at college this year just like I would in sixth form. For both of us College was the better choice out of the two

10 most annoying things about him

1)It annoys me how you always play pranks on me.. let’s elaborate shall we….

So we’ve recently been to Paris together and had the best 6 days doing everything we loved.. on the 5th day I woke up as normal and went to brush my teeth. Stephen said “My toothbrush tastes weird” I didn’t think anything at the time until I tasted mine. My toothbrush also tasted weird but I carried on brushing anyway. Only when we arrived home from Paris did I find out my toothbrush had soap on it and his was perfectly normal. Cheers for that Stevo, much appreciated.

I think this other prank has been played on me around 4 times now and luckily he’s always forgot to film it. I’ll go out of the room for something and when I come back he’ll say “oh get that for me please” me being the nice fiancee I am goes to get it.. I reach for the item and see a big fat realistic spider there, trust me I know he plays it all the time but it still scares the beep out of me. (Update- the spider has been thrown behind the wardrobe now so no more spider pranks.)

I could go on forever but I’ll just do one more. We’ll go out somewhere and he’ll run off from me which I think nothing of. When I get to where I need to be he jumps out and scares me.. I’m sure he’s not 18 he acts his shoe size (8). Even just as he was about to propose we walked up the Conwy Castle walls and he ran off from me in the pitch black, I wasn’t too pleased to say the least.

2) My pet hate is sharing a bed with someone who nabs the quilt off you so I think you can guess what else annoy’s me about him.

We’ll be asleep for hours and suddenly I’ll wake up in a refrigerator, he’ll nab the quilt and hold onto it for his life (without even realising) so I jump out of bed and pull it all to my side, payback!!!

3) Many people who know me know I love my sleep. So that means I do not wish to wake up at 8:30 when my alarm is set for 11, he wakes up too early for my liking.

4) Stephen really hates the noise of a clock ticking (I have one in my bedroom). Every night he stays he has to put his headphones in to get to sleep. So I’m trying to get to sleep and I think of something important. I Talk for about 5 minutes straight only to find out he’s half asleep listening to Hans Zimmer, looks like I won’t be getting a response from him.

5) When I’m annoyed about something and in a mood he’ll repeat everything I say. Ok I admit sometimes he makes me laugh but the point is I’m ranting, I’m not meant to laugh.

6) If I’m trying to purposely ignore him (It’s what we both do a lot, don’t ask) he’ll sing a song he made up in Paris and whenever he does I can’t help but laugh. That then defeats the point of me ‘ignoring him’. The song goes a little like “sofeenaaa baby..” (I always crack after them two words so I’ll admit I don’t know the rest but i’m judging you if you didn’t sing it like “santa baby..”.

7) One thing that really annoys me about him is he gets in moods so easily. Sometimes for pointless reasons too.. When he’s quiet I’ll ask him “why are you being moody?” and he’ll answer “I’m not” only later to recieve a message saying why he was actually in a mood. What’s the point Stevo K?

8) Ok so I’m quite a gullible person (sometimes over really stupid things too). I hate how smart he is in the ways of being deceiving. He’ll tell me something I know for a fact isn’t true but he says it so meaningful I start to believe it’s true and then he doesn’t stop laughing.

9) This isn’t really something I hate but I’m running out ideas because who could hate someone as great as my fiance. But growing up Stephen has also been a quick eater so to stop now isn’t easy for him. We’ll go out for a meal and he’ll have finished the majority of his meal by the time I’ve picked up my knife and fork. I will admit over the months he’s become a lot better but it’s still hard to keep up with him.

10) Last but not least we are both so stubborn. Normal relationships are bound to go through their up’s and down’s but when it comes to arguments not one of us will back down. We’ll go on for hours just bringing up petty things as no one wants to back down. All we do to get over it is laugh because we both know how ridiculous it is.

So the point of this was to show you all that behind a ‘perfect’ relationship there is some flaws but it’s about overcoming them and talking about any problems you may have with one an other. If you really want the relationship to work you’ll do your damnedest to make sure it does. Stephen Kelly no matter how much you annoy me at times I wouldn’t swap you for anyone, I love you loser xxx
